    A Labour Of Love
Sadness stealthily surrounding fires of distraction
    Threateningly beckoning… imploring a reaction
    Darkness to Light, it genuflects
    Then contumaciously, objects
Decidedly ambivalent, it ‘tends it don’t exist
Conflatedly malevolent, it tries to thwart; resist

    Moving On
    Moving on,
    After all the hurt,
    Let nothing stop me,
    Dust off the dirt.

    Wishful Thinking
    Good morning, my dear
    Hope you're doing fine
    I look over at you
    And our gazes combine

    Knowing You
    You're special to me
    You're someone I trust
    I treasure the topics
    That we have discussed

    My Amazing Friend
I told you I would never again,
    Let someone take my heart.
    Here I'm sitting wanting you,
    And hate that we're apart.

    Anxiety
    Feeling the need to explode
I search all around, but for naught
There must be somewhere I can unload
    A fortress of solitude sought

    The Getaway
    I'm so there
    To not be here
    To forget the stress
    Of the present year

Every day confirms my opinion on the superiority of a vicious life - and if Virtue is not its own reward I don't know any other stipend annexed to it - Lord Byron
